Superfoods aren’t exactly known for being the most indulgent snack on the planet.

No one ever said ‘let’s take it easy, watch some Netflix and warm up some chia seeds, yeah?’.

We get it. Healthy doesn’t always mean tasty.

But the thing is, when it comes to certain superfoods, that’s not always true. And now, we’re gonna prove it.

Greek Yoghurt

It’s ultra-thick. It’s ultra-creamy. It’s absolutely bursting with protein and probiotics, which are those bacteria that you always see in Yakult adverts that supposedly do loads of good for your digestion.

Plus, it tastes delicious. You can’t really argue with greek yoghurt. It’s just awesome.

Kale
This lean, green health-freaks dream is what you’ve probably heard loads of fitness obsessives go on about, and to be fair, it’s so damn full of antioxidants, fiber, calcium and iron that you can’t really argue with them.

However, what you probably don’t know is that it’s actually quite delicious, especially when mixed into the right salad. Give it a try and start reaping those benefits you’ve heard so much about.

Salmon
This pink wonder is another one of those foods that ticks all the boxes. It’s stupidly tasty and good for you, as its bursting with omega-3 fatty acids, which has been heavily proven to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Why do we just not always eat salmon? Why even bother with chicken ever?

(We don’t really mean that…sorry chicken, we love you too).

Eggs

Protein. Omega-3 fatty acids. Low calorie. Great for dipping toast in.

That’s right. You never even knew it, but the humble egg is a bit of an unsung superfood hero.

Cracking news, eh? (Sorry, we couldn’t resist).

Cauliflower

Remember when you wouldn’t even consider touching one of these things until it was absolutely drenched in cheese?

Well, you might want to reconsider that, as it’s been found to contain phytochemicals (just trust it, it sounds really sciencey so it must be right) that have been proven to prevent damage caused by carcinogens.

Insane right!? Plus, there are so many better ways to cook it than in cheese. Check out our blog here that explains all of the awesome ways to use cauliflower.

Garlic

Dracula might not be a fan, but oh my god we certainly are.

Not only does it take delicious flavour with it wherever it goes, it’s also full of medicinal properties and has been used as a treatment for loads of different ailments for literally centuries.

High blood pressure. Heart disease. Bone deterioration.

Whatever’s bothering you, garlic will probably help. Totally worth the dodgy breath, right?

Almonds

You already know almonds taste delicious. We don’t need to tell you that.

However, you probably didn’t know that almonds also happen to be THE MOST NUTRITIONALLY DENSE NUT IN EXISTENCE.

A one ounce serving contains 3.4 grams of fiber, potassium, calcium, vitamin E, magnesium, iron and loads more healthy sounding molecules.

What else do you need to know? Go get some almonds inside you right now.

Strawberries

Mmmm. Finding out strawberries are a superfood is like finding out Beyonce also lives a double life as Lady Gaga.

Like we needed any more reasons to love the strawberry, it also turns out that it’s absolutely loaded with vitamin C, which will boost your immune system AND stop you getting scurvy.

Oatmeal

It lowers cholesterol. It aids digestion. It’s high in fiber and antioxidants. It also tastes great with honey.

Why haven’t you got a bowl of oatmeal in front of you right now? Do you not enjoy living?

Why are we telling you all this?

Well, we kind of introduced a new food special that’s bursting with loads of these ingredients, and we don’t want you to brush it off as low-on-taste health food.

After all, you’d be totally wrong. And we’d hate for you to be totally wrong, right?

Go on. Try our Superfood Salad, as well as all of our other food specials, and feel good about yourself.
