This summer we are getting in the mix with our new cocktail menu, which launches in bar soon. And, to get us inspired while we’ve been shaking things up behind the bar, we’ve been spinning some of our favourite ever remixes. Here are just a few, for your listening pleasure.
What’s your killer remix of all time? Let us know on Facebook.
Tensnake – ‘Love Sublime’ (Duke Dumont remix)
Tensnake and Nile Rodgers are one of our favourite musical combos ever. But two’s company and three’s a party, so step up Dumont on remix duties. Suddenly this becomes a chunky piano track (no surprises there) and we defy you not to dance.
Disclosure x Pharrell Williams – Frontin’
There was nothing not to like about this track in the first place. But that’s our favourite thing about remixes: an awesome tune getting taken to a whole new level. And when Disclosure chucked their insane electro beats into William’s distinctive swagger, we got ourselves a festival hit to last all summer.
Justin Timberlake feat. Beyonce – ‘End of Time’ (Brenmar remix)
Timbers has got to be one of the most remixed dudes ever, but quality doesn’t always equal quantity, so when a good JT remix does come out you can’t blame us for playing it to death. And without getting too emotional about it, this is beeyooteefull, with vocals that feel like they could simply fly away. Ahem. We’ve got something in our eye.
Rihanna Feat. Kanye West and Paul McCartney – ‘FourFiveSeconds’ (DJ Mustard Remix)
Rhianna, Kanye West and McCartney’s track was out all of four or five seconds before DJ Mustard got his hands on it with this upbeat and dance floor-ready remix. If we could go out partying with just one of these tracks, it would be this one.
Depeche Mode – ‘I Feel Loved’ (Danny Tenaglia’s Labout of Love Remix)
New York house master Danny Tenaglia was nominated for a Grammy for his remix of Depeche Mode’s epic ‘I Feel Loved’. Should have bloody won, in our humble opinion. It might be fourteen years old, but it’s full on dance floor funk. And always will be.
Our brand new cocktail menu is In The Mix and it launches on Tuesday 7th July. So book your table now, and be the first to try our brand new drinks. We reckon they are going to be a hit.
