Christmas Party Checklist from Revolution

Is it your job to arrange the Christmas party this year? If so, you'll need to make sure that it's a night to remember for the right reasons. If you get organised, and plan everything well in advance, you can throw a Christmas party that is talked about for all of the right reasons.

Location

The location you choose might not be your local town, or even anywhere near you. This might be because your company has premises all over the country. Wherever you decide to host your Christmas party, you need to make sure that you pick a town or city that is easy for everyone to get to.

Venue

Once you've chosen the location, you'll need to consider the venue. Luckily, Revolution have venues across the country, so wherever you decide to hold your party, you can be sure that there will be one of our stylish and contemporary Christmas party venues close by.

Date

Depending on your Christmas party Budget, and how many people will be attending, you might need to be flexible with the date. It's probably preferable to have your Christmas party in October or November, rather than in January.

Menu

The next thing to consider is the menu. Will you have a traditional Christmas Dinner? Will you want people to have already chosen their meal in advance, or will you let people decide once they arrive?

Having a buffet, rather than a sit down meal can be much friendlier and less formal, meaning that people are more comfortable and relaxed.

Dress Code

What will you expect people to wear? If it's a formal Christmas party, then perhaps a black tie might be appropriate. You might want to have a theme for your Christmas party this year, and encourage people to wear fancy dress. Make sure that people that people know what they are expected to wear so that they don't turn up under or overdressed.

Entertainment

When planning your Christmas party, don't forget the entertainment. Why not consider a DJ, or for something a bit different, how about table magicians, or having a theme for the evening? Here at Revolution, no matter what your entertainment requirements, we have a package to suit you.

Mingling

Whatever the entertainment at your Christmas party, make sure that you encourage people to talk, and to mix with other people. It'll be good for people and departments who don't normally work together to find out more about each other.

At The End

When the Christmas party's over you'll need to make sure that your guests can get home safely and quickly. Why not book taxis in advance so that there's no waiting around afterwards? You could even arrange some rooms at a local hotel for those people who are not local?

There's no reason why you should worry about having to organise your Christmas party, as long as you are well organised in advance, your night should be fantastic!
