‘Tis the season to be jolly, or so they say. Actually, let’s face it… Not all party cities are created equal – especially at this time of year – so it really does depend on where you are. To help you choose the ultimate location for your festive celebrations, here’s our rundown of the 10 best Christmas party cities in the UK. Now, someone pass the glitter please!
What’s not to love about Cardiff at Christmas time?
We’re big fans of the city’s iconic Winter Wonderland, which is just a short walk away from Cardiff Castle and our Revolution bar. So hop on the big wheel, go ice skating, then warm yourself up with a well-deserved cocktail in our festive Cardiff venue. Perf.
Manchester’s Christmas markets are HUGE, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to explore the stalls and sip on some festive gluhwein before partying the night away.
There’s loads to do and glamour galore… And with no less than four Revolution bars dotted across the city, a Christmas party in Manchester really is a no-brainer.
We’re big fans of York’s unique Ice Trail, a ‘living advent calendar’ of icy statues that pop up across the city on the 10th and 11th December.
Oh, and the fact that York has more than 200 pubs (including our very own Revolution) kind of helps too. Season’s greetings? Sorted.
If it’s Christmas shopping you’re after, Glasgow is THE place to be for the festive period.
Hit the shops along Style Mile before heading to our Revolution bar on Renfield Street for yuletide nibbles and seriously good drinks.
Representing the south coast, we have the one and only seaside city of Plymouth.
Pay a visit to the incredible Christmas Grotto at Radiant Space (don’t be fooled – this NOT your typical ‘meet Santa’ affair) before hitting the Club Room at the epic Revolution Plymouth. Boom.
So we can’t list the top 10 Christmas party cities in the UK without mentioning London, now can we?!
See a festive show, go to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, or visit the Southbank Centre Winter Festival before hitting up one of our six Revolution bars across the city.
Hit up the ice rink in the beautiful Cathedral Quarter in Derby before warming up at Revolution, where you’ll find festive food, a huge range of beers and ciders, and Christmas cocktails galore. Cheers, peeps.
If you love a bit of alternative Christmas magic, the ‘burning of the clocks’ lantern procession in Brighton is a must-visit. Watch the fireworks, enjoy the live music, then head to Revolution for a hand-crafted cocktail with added festive flair.
This year, not only is Ipswich hosting its annual Christmas markets, but it’s on the Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour route, too. Combine your visit with a party at Revolution, and your festive Ipswich experience will be off the scale.
This year, Liverpool’s annual Ice Festival is home the biggest-ever ice slide in the UK.
If that wasn’t reason enough to visit Liverpool this Christmas, the festive food at Revolution will definitely sway you. NOM.
Yep, here we have yet another city on the Coca-Cola truck tour. But Northampton has so much more that just sugar-loaded sustenance to offer this Christmas – like Revolution Northampton AND the ‘Ghosts of Northampton Past’ virtual walk around the city. Just download the app, and you’re good to go!
Wherever you’re heading this Christmas, we’ve got your back – because we’re bringing the party to all of these cities and more. We’ve even made your party-planning super easy too… You can find your local Revolution bar.
