The Daiquiri. A cocktail with disputed origins, fashionable fans and a million variations.

But at its heart, this Cuban classic is a finely balanced mix of rum, citrus and sugar with plenty of ice. And for our Strawberry Daiquiri, we take it to the next level by blending the original ingredients together with Britain’s favourite summer fruit – for a seriously slushed-up, sweet vibe.

Want to create this sweet mix at home? Here’s how to make a Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail without even leaving the house:

EQUIPMENT

Blender
Martini glass

Strawberry Daiquiri Ingredients

50ml Bacardi Carta Blanca rum
25ml strawberry purée
12.5ml gomme (sugar syrup)
12.5ml lime juice
25ml cranberry juice

Garnish with a lime wheel

How to Make a Strawberry Daiquiri

1. First, pour all the ingredients into your blender. If you’re using fresh strawberries, chop ’em up and remove the green leafy bit, then throw them all in.

2. Next, take your serving glass (we like a classic martini or coupe glass) and fill it with ice, then empty the ice into the blender. This ensures your glass is chilled and your slushy Strawberry Daiquiri won’t melt as quickly.

3. Stick the lid on and blend ice and all the other ingredients until smooth.

4. Carefully pour into the glass and garnish with a lime wheel.

And there you have it, chilled out perfection… It’s like having your very own frozen granita machine at home! And we have to warn you… Once your mates get wind that you’re making these, we can’t guarantee you’ll get a quiet night in ever again!
