Pineapple, lemon, and citrus flavoured vodka.
In case the name and those ingredients don’t make it quite clear enough – our Sunrise Sour tastes of, yes, sunshine. Pure, unadulterated, 0%-chance-of-showers sunshine.
So if you’ve already spent all your holiday savings on mini-breaks to Amsterdam and heaven forbid, somewhere in the UK, it’s time to close your eyes, whack on the factor 30, and get a taste of sweet, sweet serotonin with our Sunrise Sour.
Here’s how to make it at home.
Sunrise Sour Ingredients
25ml Ketel One Citroen vodka
25ml Luxardo Amaretto
25ml Lemon juice
25ml Pineapple juice
25ml Blood orange syrup
How to make a Sunrise Sour
This one’s as easy as getting up at 5:43AM to watch the sunrise (actually, on second thought, it’s much easier than that).
Firstly, grab your Boston tin and fill it with cubed ice. Then add ALL your ingredients except the blood orange syrup to your Boston tin. So that’s the Ketel One Citroen vodka, amaretto, lemon juice and pineapple juice. Throw it all in.
Next, give this sunny mix a shake for approximately 10 seconds or until you get that strange pain in your elbow that you really should get checked out, whichever comes first. Then get a hold of your vintage goblet (or any fancy glass), and add cubed ice and the blood orange syrup to the bottom to start your sunrise effect.
Finally, take your Boston tin, strain the contents slowly into your vintage goblet, and there you have it… A Sunrise Sour!
